The Visitor Parking Pass (VPP) program allows guests of District residents to park for more than two hours on Residential Permit Parking or RPP-zoned blocks. A VPP is only valid during the hours of RPP enforcement and in the same RPP zone and ANC boundary as the residence. The passes are not necessary on holidays or other times when parking restrictions are not enforced.
Residents who live on a commercial zone block are not eligible for VPP or RPP. Non-residential address types are also not eligible for VPP/RPP.
How to Register for Your VPP
Step 2: Enter your address number and street name only — without using commas or periods — and then click the “Verify Address” button. (When registering for a VPP, your street name must be spelled completely out.) The street, road, avenue, drive or place can be abbreviated with no commas or periods.
Example: 55 M Street SE or 55 Porter St NW
Step 3: Find your address on the list that appears, click on it, and then hit the “Next” button on the bottom of the page.
Step 4: Enter your contact information. Include your first and last name, unit number if you live in an apartment building or legal unit, telephone number, and email address as prompted.
Step 5: Enter your DC Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV)-issued Drivers License or Non-Driver Identification Number. This number is 7 digits located at the top of the identification card.
Step 6: Review your information, click on the box next to “I certify that the information provided on this application is accurate,” and then click “Submit Your Request.” Once your request has been submitted you will NOT be able to make any changes.
Step 7: Record your confirmation number for your records, or click “Print Confirmation Page” to print a confirmation page.
