The Cleveland Park Business Association is pleased to announce its first-ever Cleveland Park Holiday Artisans Market at the weekly Saturday morning Farmers Market. The Market will take place Saturdays in December from 9 am – 1 pm (December 1, December 8, and December 15 and December 22) on the sidewalk in front of the Uptown Theater on Connecticut Ave. Shop local artisan vendors selling beautiful handcrafted gifts this holiday season–all while getting your farmers market weekly provisions!
AMerina Glassworks features contemporary kiln-formed art glass and jewelry. Anita Merina is a kiln-formed glass artist based in Washington, DC and the creative mind and spirit behind AMerina Glassworks. A jewelry designer initially, she discovered kiln-formed glass in 2008 and hasn’t looked back. Her techniques include glass fusing, casting, screenprinting and powder printing and sculptural work using glass as a medium in its various forms.

The mixture of amethyst, jade, moonstone and tiger’s eye intermingles with Tibetan amulets and diamond encrusted om charms.

Costa Cosmetics uses natural additives such as milks, herbal teas, infused oils, essential oils and natural colorants in their soaps. Costa Cosmetics will be at the Cleveland Park Holiday Artisans Market on December 1, 15 and 22.
Great Glass Creations offers ornaments, plates, platters and display pieces that are both ornamental and functional. The artist, Sheila Rosa, starts every project by selecting a shape, then the colors. She cuts, smashes and glues the pieces of glass and then fires them on a kiln, fusing the pieces together. The result is always surprising because the color combinations and shapes are unique every time, and always fascinating.

IndiBlossom is a unique collection reflecting the vibrancy of India by reviving age old techniques with a contemporary flair. Each product is made with love and is a collaborative effort between the designer and the craftsman. IndiBlossom will be at the Cleveland Park Holiday Artisans Market on December 1, 8, 15 and 22.
Mighty Greens works to improve access to healthy foods in our communities and creates products to further the message of “for us, by us.” Everything from the labels to the ingredients in their products is designed and handcrafted. Mighty Greens will be selling herbal salts, flavored vinegars, teas, and body products.
Mighty Greens is a program of City Blossoms, a local nonprofit that develops innovative programs and tools to build healthy communities through creative, kid-driven green spaces. Mighty Greens is a youth-led business cooperative which uses school gardens and greenhouses as spaces to learn to care for plants and produce while growing a business. The members of the cooperative are primarily students from Eastern Senior High School and Cardozo Education Campus.

Pickled Heads produces unique pickles full of flavor. Pickled Heads uses fresh, in season, local produce from farmers around the Greater Washington, D.C. area for its pickled creations producing small batches to ensure quality. They keep the list of flavors simple; highlighting the ingredients with just a dash of additional seasoning to make things interesting. Pickled Heads wants to excite and expand people’s pickled palates and prove that there is more to pickling than just pickles. SlingClay features functional clay sculptures. Most of Cathy Hoover Groen's work begins with the wheel and is then altered or sculpted. As a child growing up in Panama, she would make little creatures out of the clay on the banks of Gatun Lake. Mostly, her work is about people and animals since they come in all shapes and sizes and offer an endless supply of models to choose from. Tibet Sky Emporium is a social entrepreneurship. Dolkar Lhamo donates 10-20% of the profits to the village region in Tibet she left so long ago. She offers unique handcrafted, clothes, jewelry, scarves, bags and various accessories and cultural items from Tibet, Nepal and India. SlingClay will be at the Cleveland Park Holiday Artisans Market on December 15 and 22.
